partial intervention of the Belgian health insurance

Finally, since 1 August 2012 there is a partial intervention of the Belgian health insurance for the laser fibre or radio frequency catheter used in your endovascular varicose vein surgery. The cost of an endovenous catheter appearing on your invoice is €293.15.

However, there is only a partial intervention and there is a limitation to the reimbursement of a maximum of once per patient and only for a varicose vein that arises from the groin. Varicose vein treatments with catheter for varicose vein from the knee fold, and varicose vein treatment of a second limb in the same patient if not treated during the same procedure, are not reimbursed.
